If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a lion but want a less ferocious feline, a Maine Coon cat might be the perfect pet for you. These domesticated beauties have long, flowing fur that resembles a lion’s mane and can grow up to four feet long, adding a regal touch to any home. Photographer Robert Sijka fell in love with this majestic breed and captures their beauty in stunning portraits from kittens to adult cats. Sijka’s passion for photography and Maine Coons began when he and his family moved to China 14 years ago and yearned for animal companionship. His wife Izabella started a breeding program eight years ago, and after the birth of their first litter of kittens, Sijka’s journey with photography began. Despite the challenge of photographing cats, Sijka has developed a unique style that showcases Maine Coons’ unique beauty. He now owns a cattery called OtiCami with 20 Maine Coons and sells his work through the Felis Gallery online.
With a family cattery housing a total of 20 feline companions, this individual has plenty of chances to perfect their cat-handling abilities.
